Keora's Spotlight: The Cleaning Queen
Updated: Dec 30, 2019
It's that time again...
Time to shine light on another female entrepreneur. I know this woman very well because she happens to be my younger sister, so you know this interview was fun. Let me first tell you she took this interview very serious (LOL). I appreciate her respect for my passion!
I call her "The Cleaning Queen" but she has branched off into so many other ventures (on top of being a mom) that I cannot keep up! She's a natural born hustler. I'll stop talking and let her tell you more about her passion, brand, and future plans.
What made you open your own cleaning business?
I opened my cleaning company because I have a serious OCD problem LOL. Cleaning actually relaxes me. Cleaning a home to me is not only caring for the home but also making someone's life much easier. My hands are my gift.
What's a passion of yours that many may not know?
One passion that I have is interior decorating. I have always wanted to start an interior decorating company. I love mixing colors and patterns in a home. A home is about expressions and not impressions.
I am also currently concentrating on getting started on writing my book.
I also hand out clothes and toiletries to the homeless. I keep my trunk full with items so when I see a homeless person, I give them what they need.
When you're not working what do you like to do?
When I am not working I am...working LOL. No but seriously I spend a lot of time with my children doing normal family activities. I also enjoy traveling when I can and as much as I can. Funny thing is I just learned I am actually an outdoor person. I enjoy gardening. I haven't been successful at it LOL but I enjoy being in the yard and having the children help me.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style has "KIM-Comfi"! I love the sexy simple looks. Tans, pinks, school girl skirts and a banging heel but then I have those days that I throw on what's comfortable. The comfortable days I'll have on a mix of colors, patterns and textures. I'm one of those people who can't pick clothes for the week because I'm sure I'll change my mind depending on how I feel for that day.
Since I know you're single & looking to mingle (LOL), describe your ideal man?
LOL!!! I love this magical question. My ideal man "list" may take a full bottle of wine and more paper LOL but if I had to sum it up...he would be a man that would be caring, family orientated, protective, believes in GOD, believes in marriage, a hustler like myself but most of all...notices that communication is key to a successful relationship and to be my friend before anything, not afraid to admit when a mistake has been made and forgives.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years (career, love, etc.)?
In five years...*wipes forehead** I see myself being a successful author of my book. Opening a recreational center for the youth in the West Baltimore area. Owning an apartment complex for low income families. Personally I would like to be in a healthy marriage. Building, traveling and living happily with my kids and husband.
So did you guys enjoy?!! I told you she's a hustler. So to my male followers, please come to the table prepared when approaching her. Oh yes, follow her @byshawnmarie.
Have a great day fashion lovers!
